The world will watch Wednesday, May 27th, as NASA launches two astronauts aboard the SpaceX Crew Dragon capsule. "At Check-6 we will be watching with great pride," said Check-6 Founder and CEO Brian "Bru" Brurud. "Jim Bridenstine is a patriot and has held a steady hand when he was appointed to lead NASA. We couldn't be more delighted with his success and look forward to the future!"
NASA has awarded Elon Musk's SpaceX with several contracts over the past two decades. The Crew Dragon is part of the Commercial Crew program, NASA's replacement for the Space Shuttle, which retired in 2011. Jim Bridenstine, NASA Administrator and former Oklahoma Congressman from the 1st District has overseen this historic new chapter in NASA history. "Commercial Crew is going to demonstrate cost savings if you compare it to the Space Shuttle...We're very pleased with the level of investment that we've made and what we're getting for that investment," Bridenstine said.
Congratulations to Jim Bridenstine and his marvelous crew at NASA, who continue to propel us to reach for the unknown, improving our lives in the process. Well done!
