Casa de Esperanza
By Check-6
Check-6 was delighted to join in a site visit to Casa de Esperanza, to learn about its important program in caring for young at-risk children. Check-6 members Daniel “Uecker” Baxter and Jim “Harv” Benton were joined by volunteers from the oil and gas industry, including Marathon Oil, Exxon-Mobil, Vallouree, NOV, IADC, Schlumberger, Halliburton and ChemJet, who are part of Spindletop.
Spindletop’s mission is to provide funding for children. Since 1966, Spindletop Charities Inc. has contributed more than $20 million to aid programs targeting child abuse prevention, pediatric medical research, drug and alcohol abuse prevention and rehabilitation, education and scholarships, school safety, therapeutic services and after-school programs, along with family health. Check-6 is donating a week’s vacation in Pensacola as part of the organization’s fundraiser December 12. We are delighted to support such a worthwhile organization who is making a tangible difference in the lives of children!
