Check-6 is a proud sponsor of the Florida Keys Down Syndrome Education Trust (FKDSET), a non-profit that aims to continue to fund unlimited developmental opportunity to children with Down Syndrome in the Florida Keys.
FKDSET was founded in 2009 as a not-for-profit so children with Down Syndrome in Monroe County had access to complete developmental range of services. As a result of a personal experience, founders Joe and Nada Jones saw the benefit of a variety of activities to enhance their own child’s development; physical therapy, swim classes, art therapy, dance and movement, music, gymnastics, special needs teachers, Montessori classroom, unlimited travel opportunities, dynamic living environment, enhanced diet, extensive patience in simple life skills tasks.
The FKDSET held a "Bash 'n Splash" in Islamorada for Special Needs and World Down Syndrome Day 2014. To see more photos from the Bash 'n Splash and to learn more about FKDSET, visit their website www.fkdset.org and their facebook page www.facebook.com/fkdset.
